Unlike us humans, birds also don’t know the boundaries of geographies and cultures. Winter season in India hosts huge numbers of migratory birds for nesting and breeding various lakes. Bhigwan is known as the Bharatpur of Maharashtra, located on Pune Solapur highway at about 100 km from Pune and home to migratory birds such as Flamingos, cranes, Black Winged stilts, etc. The dry grasslands, woodlands, swamps and wetlands and backwaters of Bhigwan are also habitats for lizards, snakes, and fish.
